Part of the answer has to do with our daily habits, and another part is because we don’t understand how to use our own willpower. Whether you struggle with temptation, addiction, procrastination, motivation or all of the above, this workshop will teach you the latest techniques from the science of willpower and self control. It looks at the interplay between habits, which are automatically performed and willpower, which is about our intentional activity. Research tells us that up to 50% of the time we are performing a habit. It has also been found that strong habits override our intentions. This explains why behaviour is so difficult to change. Combined with information about habits, you will be able to take examples from your life, become mindful of how they work to help or hinder you, and develop energy to do the things that are meaningful to you. Join us to improve your willpower!
